Terms of Engagement

Universal guidelines and operational standards governing client engineering sprints, architectural planning, and source code handovers.

Architectural Bind Notice

By accessing our planning environments, reviewing complimentary designs, or initializing engineering branches, you agree to comply with the terms defined below. No exceptions are provisioned for mid-sprint modifications.

01 //PREAMBLE & ETHOS

Critech Team operates under a strict “Build in Public” ethos of transparency, technical determinism, and deep professional developer ethics. We reject arbitrary hourly billing, hidden corporate retainers, and fragmented communication. These Terms of Engagement govern all system planning, architectural design, execution milestones, and repository transfers between Critech Team and the Client.

02 //THE 3-PHASE MILESTONE ENGINEERING ARCHITECTURE

All projects proceed through a strict sequential engineering funnel. No milestones may be bypassed.

PHASE 01 // SYSTEM COMPLIMENTARY BLUEPRINT ($0)

  • >Execution: Critech Team engineers a custom features matrix, an Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD), and an infrastructure dependency schema entirely at our own expense.
  • >Financial Commitment: Completely complimentary ($0).
  • >Intellectual Property Guard: All technical blueprints, network maps, and database schemas created during Phase 01 remain the sole intellectual property of Critech Team. The Client may not exploit, distribute, or hand off these architectural designs to external teams or third-party agencies unless a project is formally initialized under Phase 02.

PHASE 02 // SPRINT INITIALIZATION (50% DEPOSIT)

  • >Activation: Formally initiated only upon the Client’s explicit approval of the Phase 01 Blueprint.
  • >Financial Requirement: A non-refundable 50% mobilization payment is required to activate our engineering environments and lock the project into production branches.
  • >Production Environment: Code production runs continuously within Critech Team repositories and is hosted on our isolated staging servers for Client visibility and ongoing testing.

PHASE 03 // VERIFICATION & AUTOMATED HANDOVER (50% BALANCE)

  • >Validation: Upon full deployment of the completed system features to our staging environment, the project enters a strict validation phase.
  • >Financial Requirement: The remaining 50% balance must clear cleanly to activate secure handover scripts.
  • >The Handover Trigger: Immediate transfer of code repositories, live production server controls, database credentials, and deployment permissions occurs automatically and irreversibly upon final payment verification.

03 //SCOPE MUTABILITY & FORMAL AMENDMENTS

  • >Architectural Lock: Project features, technical specifications, and delivery scopes are definitively frozen at the conclusion of Phase 01 Planning.
  • >Scope Extensions: Any addition of new features, changes to existing UI layouts, or architectural shifts requested during Phase 02 or Phase 03 will not be integrated into the active sprint.
  • >Paid Scope Amendments: Content expansions or technical changes require a separate, formal Scope Amendment protocol. This documentation will detail the technical impact, adjustments to the delivery timeline, and the additional fixed compensation before code is pushed to the main branch.

04 //STAGING VALIDATION WINDOW (TIMEOUT PROTOCOL)

  • >The Window: Upon notice that the finalized application has been deployed to our isolated staging environment, the Client has exactly seven (7) business days to perform end-to-end user-acceptance testing and log any functional errors.
  • >Automated Closure: If no critical, systemic bugs or deviations from the Phase 01 feature matrix are logged within this 7-day validation window, the project is marked as deterministically complete and successfully verified.
  • >Balance Maturity: Upon automated closure, the final 50% project balance matures immediately and becomes due for payment clearance within 48 hours.

05 //SOURCE CODE AND INFRASTRUCTURE INDEMNITY

  • >No Partial Handover: Critech Team does not provision initial repository pull access, production API keys, or database access layers while a project is mid-sprint or if any financial balance remains outstanding.
  • >Post-Handover Autonomy: Following the automated execution of Phase 03 handover scripts, full ownership, operational monitoring, and application maintenance transfer entirely to the Client. Critech Team is not legally liable for system outages, API deprecations, or security vulnerabilities introduced by the Client’s internal teams after credentials have changed hands.
